Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has reflected on the Soweto Derby loss against Orlando Pirates, revealing the one thing he’s not’ nervous’ about.
On Saturday afternoon, Amakhosi suffered a 2-1 defeat against Pirates in the Betway Premiership at FNB Stadium. Chiefs were quick off the mark against the Buccaneers after scoring in the second minute of the first-half through Glody Lilepo.
However, in the 24th minute of the match, Pirates talisman Evidence Makgopa scored his side’s equalising goal, while Relebohile Mofokeng netted the winning strike in the second-half to complete the league double over Chiefs in the current campaign.
The disappointing defeat against arch-rivals saw the Naturena-based side go seven matches without claiming a victory.
In the last seven league matches, Chiefs lost four games to Golden Arrows, Richards Bay FC, Marumo Gallants, and Pirates. They drew against Cape Town City FC, TS Galaxy, and Chippa United.
WHAT NABI SAID ABOUT BEING ‘NERVOUS’
Speaking to the media after dropping points against Pirates, the Tunisian mentor said he’s not nervous about his future at Chiefs.

Nabi was asked if he believed that he was still the right man for the job at Chiefs, and what gave him hope that the fortunes would change. He answered: “Normally, I wouldn’t answer the questions, but I’ll answer. I don’t think you are the right man to decide whether I’m staying or not.
“My role and why I’m here is clear; everyone knows that this is a process, and in terms of process, we can’t expect immediate results.
“You’re a professional journalist, and you know I came here for the process. We spoke in my first press conference [at Chiefs]. I told you guys that this is a transition season, and you’ll understand if you’re professional.
“If you are professional, you wouldn’t ask me why I’m staying here when the results are bad. It’s either you are professional or you are not.
“Don’t provoke me because I’m not a younger coach, and I have a lot of experience. Talk about tactics and process, but I’m not nervous, and I told my assistant coach that I wasn’t going to answer this question.
“If you are professional, you should know there is a process. I respect all the journalists, but don’t provoke me. I’m not nervous, I’m only nervous because I lost, not nervous about your questions.”
