Chippa United will be without two of their key players for their midweek Betway Premiership clash against Mamelodi Sundowns.

The Chilli Boys will face Masandawana at Buffalo City Stadium in East London on Wednesday, 14 May, with kick-off set for 19:30.

Chippa are currently placed eighth on the log standings with 30 points after 26 games, while Sundowns are at the summit of the table with 67 points from 26 outings.

The Gqeberha-based side will be hoping to consolidate their top-eight spot, as they are sitting on the same number of points as Kaizer Chiefs and Marumo Gallants, who occupy positions nine and 10, respectively.

Meanwhile, Sundowns could be crowned the Betway Premiership champions before their tomorrow’s game against Chippa if the Soweto giants, Orlando Pirates, play a draw or lose against Golden Arrows tonight [Tuesday] at Orlando Stadium.

As things stand, Bafana Ba Style needs a point from their final two games to win the PSL title for the eighth time in a row.

WHO ARE THE TWO CHIPPA UNITED PLAYERS SET TO MISS THE MAMELODI SUNDOWNS TIE?

Chippa will go into this encounter without the services of right-winger Craig Martin and defender Sirgio Kammies due to suspensions.

In the current campaign, Martin has featured in 27 games for the Chilli Boys in all competitions, scoring two goals and contributing three assists.

Meanwhile, Kammies has played over 20 matches for the Thabo September-coached side this season.

Martin and Kammies are the only two players who are suspended for the midweek Betway Premiership games.

Chippa will play their last Betway Premiership game this coming Saturday, 17 May, against Marumo Gallants. The match will take place at Dr Molemela Stadium in Bloemfontein.

The kick-off for the Gallants and Chippa showdown will be at 15:00.
