The Betway Premiership monthly awards winners for April have been announced, with Sekhukhune United claiming two accolades, and a Kaizer Chiefs player also recognised for their outstanding performances.
Sekhukhune coach Eric Tinkler and his player at the club, Keletso Makgalwa, have been named the Betway Premiership Coach and Player of the Month for April. Glody Lilepo of Chiefs walked away with the goal of the month award.
Under Tinkler’s guidance, Sekhukune navigated the month of April unbeaten. They secured three victories against Cape Town City FC, Polokwane City FC, and Orlando Pirates, alongside a hard-earned draw with TS Galaxy. This stellar run propelled Sekhukhune into the Betway Premiership top three.
In addition, Keletso Makgalwa added to Babina Noko’s accolades. The attacker midfielder played a key role in Sekhukhune’s success. He featured in three of the club’s games in April. Makgalwa’s contributions included a vital goal and an assist, showcasing his attacking prowess and creativity.

Makgalwa’s consistent performances edged teammate Renaldo Leaner and Stellenbosch FC’s Sanele Barns for the individual award.
LILEPO’S STUNNER WINS GOAL OF THE MONTH
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ Congolese forward, Glody Lilepo, was crowned the recipient of the Betway Premiership Goal of the Month award. This is for his breathtaking solo goal against Marumo Gallants on April 26th.
Lilepo’s moment of brilliance saw him weave past three defenders with intricate dribbling before unleashing an unstoppable shot that nestled perfectly into the top corner.
His stunning strike surpassed TS Galaxy’s Kamogelo Sebelebele’s impressive effort against Magesi FC and Thulani Gumede’s elegant curler for Cape Town City.
A panel of accredited football journalists and broadcasters noted the great performances of the award winners throughout April. “The judging process, conducted on Tuesday, 13 May, was overseen by PSL and Premiership’s sponsors, Betway,” said the PSL.
