Just days after securing their eighth consecutive Betway Premiership title, Mamelodi Sundowns have announced a new sponsor.
The Brazilians beat Chippa United 3-0 on Wednesday at Buffalo City Stadium in East London to claim the league title once more.
Following that feat, Sundowns confirmed on Friday that Chery South Africa has become the official vehicle partner of Sundowns. Hyundai were previously the vehicle sponsor.
“Chery South Africa is proud to be the Official Vehicle Partner of Mamelodi Sundowns, one of South Africa’s most decorated and popular football clubs,” reads the club statement. “Known as ‘The Brazilians’ for their bold style of play and their iconic yellow kit, Sundowns have a rich history that spans over five decades.
“The club is a powerhouse locally and across the continent with a record number of league titles. They also have numerous domestic cups, and Continental triumphs in the CAF Champions League and African Football League.”
Under the partnership, Chery will supply Masandawana with a fleet of SUVs for their travel to matches and club engagements.

A lucky supporter will win a Chery Tiggo 4 Pro at Loftus Versfeld Stadium when Mamelodi Sundowns lift the PSL trophy for a record 15th time. Masandawana host Magest FC in their final match of the season on Sunday at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. Kick off is 17h30.
