Orlando Pirates midfielder Miguel Timm has attracted interest from a PSL club as he reaches the end of his contract with the Buccaneers.
Timm has struggled to cement a regular starting berth at Pirates in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season. The talented central midfielder has fallen out of favour despite being a regular starter in the past two seasons.
In the current season, Jose Riveiro, who has left the club, preferredย Thalente Mbatha and Makhehlene Makhaula as a central midfield pairing for Pirates.
On the other hand, Timm only made three appearances across all competitions for the Soweto giants. The 33-year-old played two matches in the CAF Champions League and one in the MTN8.
With Miguel Timm’s contract coming to an end in June 2025, the midfield workhorse looks set to leave the Ghosts upon the expiry of his contract.
WHICH PSL TEAM IS INTERESTED IN SIGNING MIGUEL TIMM?
Sekhukhune United are sniffing around Timm’s situation at Pirates as they look to bring him on board for the next season. And Babina Noko could sign the former Marumo Gallants star on a free transfer to boost the quality of their squad.

In the past transfer windows, Sekhukhune signed a handful of Pirates players. These include Linda Mntambo, Thabang Monare, Lesedi Kapinga, and Katlego Otladisa. But Otladisa’s move was a loan agreement finalised during the January 2025 transfer window.
A source close to developments told FARPost that the Limpopo-based side has set its sights on Timm as a possible signing for the upcoming campaign.
“Sekhukhune United have a big interest in signing one of Orlando Pirates’ players, Miguel Timm, for the next season,” the insider said.
“Timm is a quality player that can add a lot of value at Sekhukhune. And when you look at the fact that they could qualify for the CAF Confederation Cup next season, his experience will come in handy.”
