Orlando Pirates will face SuperSport United in a Betway Premiership tie without the services of a key winger on Tuesday, 20 May 2025.
The Buccaneers will lock horns with Matsatsantsa at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane tomorrow, with the kick-off set for 19:30.
This past weekend, Pirates began life without coach Jose Riveiro, who recently left the club. The Spanish mentor is linked with a move to Egyptian giants, Al Ahly.
The Sea Robbers played to a 1-1 draw with TS Galaxy at Orlando Stadium on Saturday under the guidance of interim coach Mandla Ncikazi.
The Soweto giants are currently placed second on the league table with 56 points from 25 outings.
Meanwhile, SuperSport are languishing at the bottom half [14th place] of the log standings with 26 points after 25 games. Matsatsantsa will be gunning to secure maximum points from their remaining three league matches in order to avoid relegation. They are equal in points with Cape Town City FC, who are in position 15 – the basement.

Pirates will go into the SuperSport showdown without their in-form left-winger, Relebohile Mofokeng, due to suspension.

Mofokeng accumulated his fourth yellow card during their league game against the Rockets this past Saturday.
The 20-year-old has played 24 Betway Premiership matches for the ‘Happy People’ this season, scoring five goals and providing seven assists.
Overall, the Bafana Bafana international made 47 appearances for Pirates. He found the back of the net 12 times and contributed 14 assists.
Mofokeng is the only player suspended for the midweek Betway Premiership fixtures.
With three league fixtures remaining this season, Pirates are guaranteed to finish in second position in the Betway Premiership standings. This secures their qualification for the prestigious CAF Champions League in the upcoming campaign.
