Nasreddine Nabi has addressed the Kaizer Chiefs exit rumours, declaring, “Africa has been calling,” as interest in his services emerges amidst speculation of his departure at the end of the season.
This follows a media report that emerged just a day after Amakhosi’s Nedbank Cup win, indicating the club’s hierarchy plans to part ways with the Tunisian mentor and his technical staff.
The Soweto giants played out to a 1-1 draw with Sekhukhune United at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday afternoon in their most recent game in the league.
As a result, Chiefs are in danger of missing out on a top-eight spot for the second time in a row, as they are currently placed ninth on the Betway Premiership table with 31 points after 27 matches.

‘THIS IS BAD NEWS FOR ME,’ SAYS NASREDDINE NABI
Nabi has stated that the rumours regarding the Chiefs’ exit are “bad news” for him. He insists that they have caused confusion in the club, and he requested journalists to respect him just as he holds them in high regard.
He continued to mention that he has been receiving calls from various parts of Africa asking about his services, as many believe he will be leaving the Glamour Boys after the season concludes.
“I respect all of you journalists, and all journalists should also respect me. Why is it that every time, it’s Nabi this, Nabi that? This is bad news for me; it creates confusion in my team,” he said.
“This is not correct, and it’s not professional. The information is not accurate. All of Africa has been calling me, thinking I’m free because I have finished with Kaizer Chiefs.
“This is not correct. Please be professional, and I’m not being personal with any journalist.”
Chiefs will play their last league game against Polokwane City FC at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 24 May 2025. The match will start at 15:00.
