Marumo Gallants head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has shed light on his future at the club after the team played its last game of the season against Magesi FC on Saturday afternoon.
Ouaddou joined Bahlabane ba Ntwa in March this year, taking over the coaching reins from Dan Malesela, who has since returned to Baroka FC.
The Bloemfontein-based outfit brought in the former Moroccan footballer to save the club from relegation, and he succeeded in doing so.
Gallants played to a 1-1 draw in their last Betway Premiership match of the campaign with Magesi at Seshego Stadium yesterday. As a result, Bahlabane ba Ntwa are placed 10th on the table with 32 points from 28 outings.
Overall, Ouaddou took charge of 12 games across all competitions at Gallants. In those 12 matches, he registered five wins, drew four, and suffered three losses.

WHAT ABDESLAM OUADDOU SAID ABOUT HIS FUTURE AT MARUMO GALLANTS
While Ouaddouโs future at Gallants remains uncertain, the coach revealed that the negotiations with the club are going well thus far, and he would love to continue working with the team next season, as he joined the side with a mission to save them from the chop.
“What I can tell you is that I signed with Marumo Gallants with the mission to save the club [from relegation],” said Ouaddou in an exclusive interview with FARPost.
“I think we did it all together. I don’t like to say I did it [saving the team alone]. You know, football is part of collective work, and I have to give credit to all the people who are working in the club, including the chairman [Abram Sello] and the players.
“So, the talks between me and the club are going well. I appreciate the club and the people of Bloemfontein as well. I appreciate the PSL; it’s very professional. I’m a very ambitious coach, and they want to build something.”
He added: “So far, I think the negotiations are going well. Hopefully, we will continue to work together, but we do not want to be in the relegation zone next season. We want to be a little ambitious, and when you want to be ambitious, you need to build a strong foundation for the club.”
