AmaZulu FC are expected to part company with Abbubaker Mobara and Boniface Haba at the conclusion of the 2024/25 PSL season.

Over the past few seasons, Usuthu have consistently shown a tendency to implement significant squad overhauls at the end of each campaign.

This trend sees a significant exodus of players from the club, followed by the welcoming of several new faces to bolster the squad before the new season.

After AmaZulu wrapped their season, Mobara and Haba have emerged as the first two squad members said to be on their way out of the club.

Their impending departures signal the beginning of player movements for AmaZulu as the team prepares for the next season.

Further fuelling what FARPost had already gathered, theย two players were not seen during the clubโ€™s media open day on Wednesday when the Durban-based side prepared to take on Orlando Pirates this past weekend.

Mobara has been with the club since January 2022, having joined from Cape Town City FC. He was part of the team that played the MTN8 final against Orlando Pirates, losing 1-0 at the Moses Mabhida Stadium.

MOBARA & HABA STRUGGLED FOR GAME TIME THIS SEASON AT AMAZULU FCย

The former Orlando Pirates man, Mobara, struggled for game time this season. His presence on the field was limited to only 16 appearances across all competitions.

Meanwhile, having arrived at AmaZulu on a free transfer from Moroccan club OC Safi at the start of the season, Boniface endured a quiet debut campaign in the PSL.

The Guinean right-winger found game time hard to come by, featuring in just eight Betway Premiership matches and earning a single start, underlining his struggle to break into the starting eleven.

Moreover, just last month, AmaZulu released their midfielder, Celimpilo Ngema, due to disciplinary issues. He had been with the club since July 2023 and has featured in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring two goals and registering four assists in the process.
