SAFA have confirmed Bafana Bafana’s opponents for next month’s upcoming international friendly matches to be hosted in South Africa.
This comes after coach Hugo Broos announced a 41-man preliminary squad on Thursday, 22 May 2025.
The SA Football Association [SAFA] also announced that the Belgian mentor will trim the squad to the final 23 players in due course.
Players from Mamelodi Sundowns were not selected as they will be competing in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to take place in the United States from June 14 to July 13, 2025
THE TWO OPPONENTS SET TO FACE BAFANA BAFANA
Tanzania and Mozambique are the two nations that will lock horns with Bafana for the two friendly games that will take place in Mzansi in June 2025.

Broos’ troops will face Tanzania at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane on Friday, June 6. The showdown will start at 19:30.
Bafana players are set to report for camp in Johannesburg on Sunday, 1 June. The squad will head to Polokwane that same day.
Meanwhile, the second friendly match will be against the neighbours, Mozambique. The game will take place at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Tshwane on Tuesday, 10 June.
The kick-off time for the Bafana game against Mozambique is yet to be confirmed.
