Relebohile Mofokeng has delivered a candid assessment of his performance this season, openly discussing the areas he believes need improvement following Orlando Pirates’ final game.
The Buccaneers wrapped up the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season with a 1-1 draw against Magesi FC at Orlando Stadium in Soweto on Wednesday.
As a result, they finished second on the log standings for a third successive season and secured another spot in the CAF Champions League.

The 20-year-old Mofokeng was one of the key players in only his third season with the senior team. His name has also been mentioned as a contender for the PSL footballer of the season award.

The Bafana Bafana star scored five goals and provided eight assists in the league this season. He also netted five with three assists in the CAF Champions League, two goals and two assists in the MTN8, and two assists in the Nedbank Cup.

“I think I did well this season. So I just need to continue to improve and work hard. So I just need to continue,” Mofokeng told SuperSport TV after being voted Man of the Matchin the Magesi game.
“I think a place where I can improve is to score because that’s the only thing missing in my game. I can create and assist. But it’s only my lack of scoring, but I think I can improve with a lot of practice.”
“It has been a long season because we have been involved in competitions like the CAF [Champions League] Nedbank Cup, because we are not used to playing so many games. So I think we did well. We just need to make sure that next season we do better than this season.”
