Kaizer Chiefs have officially parted ways with attacking midfielder Sabelo ‘Bibo’ Radebe, the club confirmed on Thursday, a development first reported by FARPost.
The Soweto giants’ decision comes just weeks after Radebe’s return to Naturena from an unsuccessful loan spell at Betway Premiership side Richards Bay FC.
This departure also marks the first significant squad change for Chiefs since the conclusion of the 2024/25 PSL season, as they begin their preparations for the new campaign.
Richards Bay prematurely cut short Radebe’s loan spell, as this publication previously stated. The 25-year-old attacking midfielder initially joined the Natal Rich Boyz in September last year, with an agreement to remain with the club for the entire 2024/25 season.
However, Radebe struggled for game time, making just three appearances before leaving Richards Bay in April, shortly before his loan contract was set to expire.

He was part of a group of promising talents—including Lebohang Lesako, Darrel Matsheke, and Keletso Sifama—who were promoted to the Kaizer Chiefs senior team in 2021 under then-coach Gavin Hunt.
KAIZER CHIEFS CONFIRM RADEBE’S DEPARTURE
“Kaizer Chiefs have officially parted ways with attacking midfielder, Sabelo “Bibo” Radebe,” reads the club statement.
“Radebe, now 25, joined Amakhosi as a teenager and progressed through the junior ranks in the Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy before moving up to the reserve team in the 2017/18 season.
“He signed after earning a spot in the senior team in the 2020/21 season, following an impressive performance in the DStv Diski Challenge.
“Last season, he had a one-year loan spell at KwaZulu-Natal-based Richards Bay FC.
“We wish “Bibo” all the best in his future endeavours.”
In his time with Amakhosi, the diminutive Radebe made 18 appearances, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
