Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed the departure of youngster, Siphesihle Tati, amidst TS Galaxy links following the conclusion of the 2024/25 DStv Diski Challenge season.

The talented midfielder was one of the key players as Amakhosi sealed a historic triumph in the DDC, after 10 years of the league’s existence.

In April this year, The Soweto giants won the DDC title for the first time in the club’s history. This comes after Chiefs managed to accumulate 70 points after 28 games, seven points clear of second-placed Stellenbosch FC.

The 20-year-old, Tati, started his football journey at Chiefs in the Under-17 side at the age of 14 before being promoted to the reserves.

WILL SIPHESIHLE TATI JOIN TS GALAXY AHEAD OF NEW SEASON?

Following the confirmation that Tati will be leaving Chiefs, the player is heavily linked with a potential move to the Mpumalanga club, Galaxy.

If Tati’s move to the Rockets materialise, he won’t be the first player from Chiefs’ youth side to sign for Galaxy. The Betway Premiership side previously acquired the services of Puso Dithejane in November 2023 from the Glamour Boys.

Dithejane became a regular starter at the Tim Sukazi-owned side. In the just-ended SA elite league campaign, the right-winger played 32 matches across all competitions for Galaxy, scoring two goals, and provided six assists.

Khulumani Ndamane is another player who made the switch from Amakhosi to Galaxy.

In addition, Galaxy have reportedly also roped in ex-Chiefs DDC captain Ntando Nkosi for the 2025/26 season.
