Mamelodi Sundowns’ dominance in the Betway Premiership continued its relentless march in May, as the Tshwane giants once again swept the monthly individual honours.
Bafana Ba Style coach Miguel Cardoso and star attacker Lucas Ribeiro Costa both secured their third Coach and Player of the Month awards, respectively.
In addition, Ribeiro also won the Goal of the Month accolade for his well-taken free-kick against Magesi FC in Sundowns’ last game of the domestic 2024/25 season.
This is the third occasion this season that Cardoso and Ribeiro have received the monthly awards, highlighting their reliability and impact on Sundowns’ prosperous Betway Premiership campaign.
Cardoso helped Masandawana win all five of their league matches in May, which led them to their eighth consecutive PSL title.
The former Esperance mentor beat the departed Orlando Pirates coach, Jose Riveiro, and Ronnie Gabriel of Richards Bay FC to the Coach of the Month accolade.
