Ex-Marumo Gallants head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has had his say on Dino Ndlovu’s return to the SA top-flight after spending a decade overseas.
Bahlabane ba Ntwa acquired the services of the former Bafana Bafana international in March this year on a free transfer.
This comes after the 35-year-old striker has been a free agent since July 2024 after parting ways with the Turkish Ligue 1 team Sakaryaspor.
Gallants signed the experienced frontman with the aim to help them avoid the relegation zone, of which they did after finishing the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season in position 10 with 32 points from 28 outings.
The veteran forward spent ten years abroad, where he represented teams such as Maccabi Haifa, Anorthosis Famagusta, Changchun Yatai, Boluspor, Qarabag FK, among others.

WHAT THE FORMER MARUMO GALLANTS MENTOR SAID ABOUT DINO NDLOVU’S RETURN TO THE PSL
Coach Ouaddou mentioned that they seized the opportunity to sign Ndlovu because they felt he still had value to provide and could assist them in avoiding relegation.
Since Ndlovu joined Gallants in March, he managed to feature in five games across all competitions for the Bloemfontein-based outfit and weighed in with an assist.
“You know it was a bet because Dino [Ndlovu] came very late. So, we all know about his career, and he is a fantastic player,” Ouaddou told FARPost.
“He is a very professional guy, and he still has the ability to score goals. It was a bet during the two months I worked with him to bring him into shape.
“The last two games of the season, we gave him more time to play, and I can still see that he is a good player. Hopefully, the club will give him a challenge for next season.”
Ouaddou continued: “I believe that this kind of player can still bring something to the team in terms of experience and scoring goals.”
