Bafana Bafana coach Hugo Broos has had his say about TS Galaxy star Khulumani Ndamane after the national team’s international friendly match against Tanzania on Friday night.
The SA Men’s National Football Team settled for a 0-0 draw with the Taifa Stars in their friendly encounter at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane.
Ndamane played the whole 90 minutes in the match against Tanzania and delivered a Man of the Match performance.
This was the 21-year-old’s debut for Bafana Bafana after missing out on selection in March due to visa issues.

HUGO BROOS’ VIEWS ON KHULUMANI NDAMANE’S MAN OF THE MATCH DISPLAY
The Belgian coach revealed that he typically disagrees with the Man of the Match selections but feels that Ndamane was rightly chosen for the honour in their game against Tanzania.
He thinks that the player exerted his maximum effort from the opening whistle to the conclusion of the game.
“He [Khulumani Ndamane] had a good permanence. You know, I don’t always agree with the Man of the Match decisions after games,” said Broos. “Sometimes when I’m seeing the Man of the Match for me, it is someone else.
“Today [Friday], I think when we see our team, you can see that Khulumani made a very good performance for his first appearance in the national team. So, he deserves it.”
Ndamane played a crucial role in helping Galaxy qualify for the top eight, having featured in 27 games across all competitions in the just-ended 2024/25 PSL season.
The Mpumalanga-based outfit finished in fifth position in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership table with 35 points after 28 matches.
