Agent Gibson Mahachi has confirmed that Golden Arrows and Chippa United have registered serious interest in a budding Zimbabwean striker.
Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya has attracted interest from the Betway Premiership following his good show in Zimbabwe’s botched 2025 COSAFA Cup appearance.
The Emerging Warriors failed to go beyond the group phase, after falling behind Bafana Bafana on goal difference in Group A.
While their attempt to make a mark at this year’s tournament suffered a stillbirth, several of the country’s players made a good impression.
These include goalkeeper Martin Mapisa of MWOS FC, midfielder Prosper Padera of Seinรคjoen Jalkapallokerho of Finland. However, it has now emerged that much of the attention is on youthful striker Thandolwenkosi Methuseli Ngwenya of FC Platinum.
The 22-year-old struck a brace in Zimbabwe’s last group match when they beat Mozambique 3-1. But it was not enough to send The Emerging Warriors to the semi-finals. Bafana topped Group A on goal difference and have progressed to reach the final.

AGENT CONFIRMS GOLDEN ARROWS AND CHIPPA UNITED’S INTERESTS NGWENYA
Agent Gibson Mahachi could not be drawn into commenting much. But he confirmed to FARPost that Arrows and Chippa have made contact regarding the FC Platinum product, Ngwenya.
Mahachi highlighted that they are expecting more offers for Ngwenya’s services. Ngwenya’s contract with FC Platinum ends in December 2025.
He is enjoying a purple patch, having scored seven goals in the 12 matches he played for Pure Platinum Play. As such, he will undoubtedly be hoping to make a switch to the lucrative Betway Premiership.
Of late, Zimbabwean footballers have been struggling to breakthrough into the league. Daniel Msendami and Junior Zindoga were the latest players to join the PSL. It remains to be seen which club Ngwenya will select as his final destination.
Meanwhile, another striker, Washington Navaya, has already attracted interest from Betway Premiership clubs due to his scoring prowess. Billy Veremu has also been tracked by several PSL clubs.
