Orbit College FC coach Pogiso Makhoye has shared what he believes his side needs to do to clinch a historic promotion to the Betway Premiership.
The Motsepe Foundation Championship side is involved in the PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs with Cape Town City FC and Casric Stars. The club has collected just two points from their first two matches.
Makhoye says their away game against Casric on Saturday, 21 June, will be the one that determines if they get promoted or not.
“I think next Saturday, that game, the match sharpness will be back. I think we can go to Solomon Mahlangu Stadium and upset Casric because we are good travellers,โ said Makhoye.
WHY ORBIT COLLEGE COACH IS NOT WORRIED ABOUT WINNING AWAY AT CASRIC STARS
โI am not worried about playing away because we are more motivated, especially when we play away. So I was saying to the boys that we need to play the next game,โ he added.

โThat one is a must-win. We have to go to KwaMhlanga and win that game so that when we come home, maybe we can make it.”
POGISO MAKHOYE ADMITS PLAYING PRETTY FOOTBALL IS NOT A PRIORITY
“There is no difference because itโs not about playing a Betway Premiership side or a Motsepe Foundation Championship. This is a mini League, and everything is at stake here.
โItโs not about playing pretty football. Itโs all about getting three points and making sure that you get that Betway Premiership status. “Each and every point counts in this mini league. So, rather than if you don’t win, then take a draw.”
Reflecting on the goalless draw against CT City this past Saturday at the Cape Town Stadium, the Orbit College added: “When we came here, we knew that the pitch was too big, and with the speed I have, if we get three points, it will be a bonus.
โBut we were here to protect our points and we did that. Like I said to the boys, if we get one win and draw all the games, we can win the promotion with six points.”
