Former Marumo Gallants and current Venda FC coach Stanford Nkoane has been tipped to take over at the club that is purchasing JDR Stars’ PSL status.
Nkoane joined the Motsepe Foundation Championship side, Venda FC, towards the end of the season after taking over from Vladislav Heric.
Venda FC narrowly escaped relegation last season, finishing on 31 points, a point above Cape Town Spurs, who were relegated to the SAFA ABC Motsepe League alongside Leruma United.
This is the fourth season for Venda FC in the National First Division after purchasing the status from Cape Umoya United in 2021.
STANFORD NKOANE HEADING FOR AN EXIT AT VENDA FC
This publication has established that Nkoane’s contract at the club is coming to an end in June. The former Baroka FC coach initially joined the club on a short-term deal.

Venda are reportedly keen on keeping Nkoane at the club, and according to people close to his camp, the club has put an offer on the table.
But they will face competition from clubs such as JDR Stars, who have also earmarked the services of Nkoane.
The new owners of JDR have reportedly also put in an offer for the former University football coach.
Nkoane is regarded as one of the future in terms of coaching in South African football. He has had stints at Baroka FC as well as Marumo Gallants.
And as this publication had earlier reported, Nkoane was also expected to join Venda FC rivals Black Leopards. But the move collapsed in the eleventh hour.
Meanwhile, JDR, who are set to move to Limpopo, have yet to officially communicate or confirm their new structure. The club was bought by businessman Lester Makatoane and will be renamed pending the approval of the PSL.
