Outgoing Kaizer Chiefs defender Edmilson Dove has penned an emotional tribute to the club following confirmation of his departure.

Amakhosi announced on Tuesday that they will part ways with the Mozambique international when his contract expires at the end of this month.

The 30-year-old joined the Betway Premiership side in 2022 and featured in a total of 56 matches in all competitions.

He only featured in 13 games across all competitions under coach Nasreddine Nabi last campaign. The Achilles tendon injury he suffered during the Chiefsโ€™ pre-season training camp in Turkey also contributed to his limited game time.

“Thank you, Mr chairman, for allowing me and my family to be part of the Amakhosi family, for allowing me to fulfil a childhood dream,” Dove wrote on his Instagram account.
