Betway Premiership side Golden Arrows have signed former Mamelodi Sundowns frontman Jerome Karelse as the club looks set to reinforce its striking force ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The 22-year-old joins the KZN outfit from the SAFA Western Cape ABC Motsepe League club, Hout Bay United FC [HBUFC].
Karelse has been in phenomenal form at HBUFC, having signed for them in September 2024 from Bafana Ba Style. During his stay at HBUFC, Karelse managed to find the back of the net on 20 occasions.
In the just-ended 2024/25 campaign, Karelse helped HBUFC finish in sixth place in Stream A of the Western Cape ABC Motsepe League table with 31 points after 22 games.
The rising star made his debut for Masandawana in February 2023 during their 1-0 win against Orlando Pirates at Orlando Stadium in a league encounter.
This came after his impressive displays for the Brazilians’ DStv Diski Challenge [DDC} outfit that caught the attention of coach Rulani Mokwena at the time.
Karelse has reportedly signed a three-year deal with Abafana Bes’thende.
