Dzvukamanja linked with SuperSport exit, next destination revealed

Terrence Dzvukamanja at SuperSport United

Forward Terrence Dzvukamanja looks set to part ways with SuperSport United, and his potential destination has been revealed.

Dzvukamanja has been in SuperSport United’s books since July 2023, when he switched from Orlando Pirates.

The 31-year-old rose to become one of Matsatsantsa’s reliable goal-getters in the early stages of his stay at the club. For the Tshwane side, he made 58 appearances.

Last season, Dzvukamanja featured in 23 matches across all competitions, with two goals and one assist under his belt. Considering his underwhelming numbers last season, it will not be surprising if SuperSport United release him.

However, it has emerged that a club in Zimbabwe’s Castle Lager Premier Soccer League is ready to give him a soft landing.

Scottland FC, a team that has a number of former Betway Premiership stars, is preparing an enticing offer for the former Pirates attacker, FARPost has learnt.

The Harare-based club has already assembled a strong squad, on paper, with Khama Billiat and Walter Musona headlining the cast.

And adding Dzvukamanja to their cast will make them more fiery, as they seek to win the Castle Lager Premier Soccer title in their maiden season.

Dzvukamanja, one of Zimbabwe’s strikers, has a well-known capacity to add more firepower in Scottland FC’s strike-force.

Before joining the Betway Premiership at Bidvest Wits, he carved a niche in Zimbabwe’s PSL when he was in the books of Ngezi Platinum Stars. Notably, he was voted as part of Zimbabwe’s 2017 Soccer Stars.

Dzvukamanja’s homecoming, back to Zimbabwe, will represent a positive development for Scottland FC, because his skillset enables him to provide cover for a wide range of positions.

He can play as a centre-forward, but has proved to be more effective when playing from the wings. Meanwhile, the ambitious club, Scottland FC, is assessing Douglas Mapfumo, formerly with Polokwane City FC.

Mapfumo also played for Black Leopards and Cape Town City FC. He is training with the club after a below-par stint during the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season. The 25-year-old made three appearances for Polokwane City FC across all competitions.
