Kaizer Chiefs and out-of-favour midfielder Mduduzi Mdantsane have agreed to part ways.
The 30-year-old joined Amakhosi in June 2023 from Cape Town City FC but struggled to replicate the form that made him a household name in the Mother City.
He was subsequently loaned out to Richards Bay FC in January this year.
Mdantsane experienced difficulties during the early stages of the 2024/25 season, dealing with an injury sustained in a motor vehicle accident, which restricted his playing time. Ultimately, he departed the Naturena-based club without making a single appearance last season.
While at the Natal Rich Boyz, he made three substitute appearances, totalling just 36 minutes on the pitch.
His contributions included eight minutes against Polokwane in a 2-0 win in February, 21 minutes against Sekhukhune United in a 2-1 victory in March, and 20 minutes in a 2-0 win over SuperSport United in May, Bay’s final game of the season in the Betway Premiership.

CHIEFS’ DECISION ON MDUDUZI MDANTSANE
Mdantsane, who joined Amakhosi on a three-year contract, has one season remaining.
However, he is leaving Chiefs after just two years at the club. The Leandra-born star made only 16 appearances for Amakhosi in his first season at the club.
Mdantsane joins Edmilson Dove, Ranga Charaviro and Sabelo Radebe among the players leaving the Soweto giants at the end of June. Meanwhile, the club is preparing to welcome Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane from rivals Orlando Pirates.
The Glamour Boys, who finished a disappointing ninth in the Betway Premiership last season, are preparing to head to the Netherlands for the bulk of their pre-season training from July 3 to 19.
While in Europe, they will play Eredivisie clubs FC Utrecht [11 July] and NEC Nijmegen [12 July] in two of their friendly matches.
Chiefs managed to win the Nedbank Cup last season, after beating Pirates in the final and will be hoping for a better 2025/26 season.
