Former Orlando Pirates and TS Galaxy midfielder Xola Mlambo has broken his silence on his dramatic exit from Marumo Gallants.
โTen Tenโ has been a free agent since parting ways with Gallants in February 2025. Mlambo joined Bahlabane Ba Ntwa at the start of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season after spending the whole of the 2023/24 campaign without a team.
In his short stint with Gallants, Mlambo featured in 10 appearances across all competitions and scored one goal in the league.
The skilful midfielder displayed his passing qualities and the ability to dictate the match whenever heโs given the chance under head coach Dan Malesela.
Following Malesela’s abrupt exit from Gallants, Mlambo was also released by the team despite having a few months left on his contract.
WHAT XOLA MLAMBO SAID ABOUT HIS EXIT AT MARUMO GALLANTS
Mlamboโs departure came as a massive shock after he established himself as the key member of the team. The ex-Bidvest Wits star says he doesnโt love to be in a place where he feels unwanted.

Meanwhile, Mlambo also revealed that he was issued a termination letter for his contract after Malesela, who brought him to the club, was fired.
โI left Marumo Gallants in February, I think coach Dan [Malesela] left on the 21st, if not the 22nd of February,โ Mlambo said on the SwitchON podcast.
โAfter that, I received a letter from the club stating that my contract would be terminated. So I don’t want to stay in a place where I’m not wanted, I accept everything, and I don’t fight.โ
Before joining the Bloemfontein-based side, the 34-year-old was in the colours of TS Galaxy in the 2022/23 season. Mlambo left the Rockets on a sour note after having a fallout with the then-head coach Sead Ramovic.
