Zambian goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata has rejoined Sekhukhune United, replacing Ali Badra Sangare, who recently left the club, FARPost has been informed.
Sekhukhune parted ways with Sangare, an AFCON-winning goalkeeper from Ivory Coast, at the conclusion of last season.
Sangare struggled for playing time in the second half of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season. Initially a first-choice goalkeeper early in the season under head coach Lehlohonolo Seema, he fell out of favour after Seema’s departure.
Following Seema’s exit, Sekhukhune appointed Eric Tinkler, the former coach of Cape Town City FC, as their new head coach.
Tinkler’s arrival saw the 39-year-old Sangare drop in the pecking order, losing his starting spot to Renaldo Leaner. Before being benched, Sangare appeared in 23 matches across all competitions, achieving nine clean sheets and conceding 25 goals.

TOASTER NSABATA’S SEKHUKHUNE UNITED CONTRACT DETAILS REVEALED
Babina Noko has reached an agreement with goalkeeper Nsabata of ZESCO United.
The experienced goalie left Sekhukhune United in July 2023 to join ZESCO United on a free transfer after two successful seasons with the Limpopo-based club. During his time at Babina Noko, he made 36 appearances, kept 14 clean sheets, and conceded 29 goals.
Nsabata reportedly joins the club on a two-year contract, as his current deal with ZESCO United expires at the end of June. He is expected to rejoin Babina Noko in time for their pre-season training session on Tuesday.
The 31-year-old will be hoping to keep his spot in the Zambia National Team ahead of the upcoming AFCON in Morocco. However, he will have to compete with Leaner for the starting jersey at the club.
Meanwhile, the club has also signed Miguel Timm from Orlando Pirates. They also agreed deals with the Baroka FC trio of Dan Ndhlovu, Sydney Malivha, and Thuso Mogale.
