Owen Da Gama has parted ways with Magesi FC despite successfully guiding them to safety from relegation last season. He joined the club on a six-month contract and played a pivotal role in their survival.
At the time, Magesi, who were in their maiden season in the top-flight, were bottom of the table with just six points from 10 matches. The Carling Knockout Cup champions had one win, three draws, and six defeats.
Under Da Gama, they won seven games, drew four, and lost seven, finishing the season in 13th place.
The initial agreement was to review the contract at the end of the season, but reports indicate that Da Gama and the club were unable to agree on new terms.
The 63-year-old coach is now reportedly being considered by newly promoted Durban City FC.
