PSL side Sekhukhune United has secured the services of five key players, including influential midfielder and captain Linda Mntambo, after extending their contracts.
The Limpopo club announced the contract renewals of captain Linda Mntambo, Chibuike Ohizu, Daniel Cardoso, Vusimuzi Ncube, and Tresor Tshibwabwa.
The five senior players were influential for Babina Noko’s good run in the 2024/25 Betway Premiership campaign, helping the club finish in fourth place on the log standings with 46 points after 28 outings.

Mntambo led the team by example, featuring in 26 games across all competitions, scoring seven goals, and providing one assist.
Nigerian-born striker, Ohizu, played 25 matches throughout the campaign and found the back of the net on six occasions, while defender Cardoso participated in 27 games.

Ncube, who plays as a winger, made 19 appearances for the club and contributed five assists.
Meanwhile, the Congolese centre-back, Tshibwabwa, also saw his stay at Sekhukhune extended after his satisfactory performances, having played in 29 games and contributed three assists in the last term.

“Their commitment and fighting spirit continue with the Babina Noko family!”
Sekhukhune are actively building a strong squad for the new season, with goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata set to return to the club following the departure of Ivorian shot-stopper Ali Badra Sangare, as reported by FARPost.
On the other hand, the club has acquired the services of Miguel Timm from Orlando Pirates, as well as three other players from Baroka FC: Sydney Malivha, Thuso Mogale, and Dan Ndhlovu.
