Chippa United and Sekhukhune United are chasing the services of Somila Ntsundwana after he parted ways with Richards Bay FC.
Ntsundwana’s contract with the Natal Rich Boyz expired last month, and the club opted not to exercise their renewal option after talks broke down this week.ย
Ntsundwana joined the Jomo Biyela-owned side initially on a loan deal from AmaZulu in January 2021. At the beginning of the 2021/22 campaign, he was signed by Richards Bay on a permanent deal.
NTSUNDWANA INVITED TO TRAIN WITH CHIPPA UNITED
According to FARPost sources, Ntsundwana has been invited to train with the Chilli Boys, who are favourites to land his signature, with the player also understood to be keen on returning to his home province, Eastern Cape.
Should the Chippa move happen, Ntsundwana could reunite with Justice Figareido and Thabiso Kutumela, who also left Richards Bay after the end of their contracts. As first reported by FARPost, the duo is close to joining Chippa United.

Sekhukhune United have also enquired, interested in adding Ntsundwana’s experience to bolster head coach Eric Tinkler’s squad.
Ntsundwana made 92 top-flight appearances for Richards Bay across all competitions, netting nine goals and registering five assists.
He joins several players who have also departed Richards Bay following the clubโs return for the pre-season.
As previously reported, the club also parted company with Siboniso Conco, whose contract was terminated after one season with the club, having joined at the beginning of the season.
Richards Bay also saw Yanela Mbuthuma and Nkosinathi Ndaba leave the club after they signed with Orlando Pirates. Keegan Allan has also left the Jomo Biyela-owned side after penning a pre-contract with AmaZulu FC in January this year.
Thato Mohlamme was also released upon returning for the new season. He was told that he was not in the clubโs future plans.
Other players who have headed out are Siyabonga Dube, Austin Dube and Romario Dlamini.
