Former SuperSport United coach Roscoe Krieling has announced his move to Orlando Pirates, strengthening the club’s technical team for the upcoming season.
The Soweto giants have undergone major changes in the off-season as they prepare for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
Pirates are under the new leadership of Abdeslam Ouaddou, who took over as head coach last month after parting ways with Marumo Gallants.
The Moroccan mentor is taking over the hot seat, previously occupied by Jose Riveiro, who left Pirates after the expiry of his contract to join Al Ahly.
Riveiro had a three-season stint with Pirates after arriving in July 2022. The Spanish tactician left the Buccaneers having won three MTN8 trophies and two Nedbank Cup titles.

After SuperSport United sold their top-flight status to Siwelele FC, Krieling, former academy coach at Matsatsantsa, has confirmed his move to Pirates.
While the former Cape Town All Stars man didn’t specify which position he would occupy with the Houghton-based side, he expressed his excitement about joining one of the ‘historic football clubs in South Africa’.
“I’m proud to officially announce that Orlando Pirates Football Club,” Krieling shared the latest development on Instagram on Monday morning.
“It’s a privilege to be part of such an iconic institution in South African football, and I’m fully committed to contributing to the club’s continued success.”
Meanwhile, Ouaddou has Mandla Ncikazi and Rayaan Jacobs as his two assistant coaches, whereas Tyron Damons and Helmy Gueldich serve as goalkeeper coach and conditioning coach, respectively.
Pirates also welcomed new and exciting players to bolster their squad. They signed names such as Oswin Appollis, Sipho Mbule, Tshepang Moremi, Sihle Nduli, Yanela Mbuthuma, Nkosikhona Ndaba, Tshepho Mashiloane, Sinoxolo Kwayiba, and Masindi Nemtajela.
