Striker Junior Dion has resurfaced at Golden Arrows after parting ways with the latter’s provincial rivals, AmaZulu FC, at the end of the previous season.
The Ivorian forward, Dion, was one of the names that appeared in the list of 19 players who parted company with Usuthu last month.
Dion spent the second round of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season out on loan at Marumo Gallants.ย
This was after the 31-year-old striker struggled somewhat for game time at AmaZulu in the first six months of the current season under, initially, Pablo Franco Martin and later co-coaches Vusumuzi Vilakazi and Arthur Zwane.
Dion only played in seven matches across all competitions at AmaZulu last season, all of which were in the Betway Premiership. He started just twice and made five appearances off the bench.
In January, he was then signed by Bahlabane Ba Ntwa on a six-month loan deal that kept him in Bloemfontein until the end of the recent past season.

He had something of a rejuvenation at Gallants, regaining his scoring touch with three goals in just ten appearances. Despite finding his form back, Usuthu decided not to retain his services ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
DION SPOTTED TRAINING WITH GOLDEN ARROWS
According to FARPost sources, Dion has been training with the Durban-based side since last week. It is still uncertain whether he has put to paper.
As previously reported by this website, Richards Bay FC also showed interest in him, with the club still reinforcing the team for the 2025/26 season.
Dion arrived at AmaZulu in the middle of the 2023/24 campaign, reuniting with Romain Folz, his former coach at Marumo Gallants.
During his stint with AmaZulu, Dion notched up 47 appearances, netting 14 goals and providing two assists in the process.
