Onke Moletshe, developed at Jomo Cosmos under the legendary Jomo Sono, has been spotted at TS Galaxy amidst the club’s FIFA ban. Galaxy were recently slapped with a fresh FIFA ban and will have to resolve it before finalising any incoming transfer deals.
The club has parted ways with Keagan Dolly, Dzenan Zajmovic and Lebone Seema. Moletshe has been knocking on the door for a Betway Premiership breakthrough after spending a few years in the second-tier. A protégé of Sono, the 25-year-old spent the past two seasons at Venda Football Club.
The pacy winger has received praise from Sono, who believes he is ready to make the swift transition to the top-flight.
Sources have told FARPost that Moletshe has been spotted training with TS Galaxy following the expiry of his contract with Venda. Last year, the talented forward drew interest from SuperSport United and Sekhukhune United, making waves with his impressive performances for Venda.
WHAT JOMO SONO SAID ABOUT ONKE MOLETSHE

He joined Venda FC two seasons ago and contributed two goals and six assists in 16 games during the 2023/24 season. The previous season was equally impressive, with 10 goal contributions in 20 matches [two goals and eight assists].
“Onke Moletshe is a good kid and a good player,” Sono told FARPost in a previous interview. “He should have been playing in the Betway Premiership a long time ago.” Sono’s admiration stems from Moletshe’s exceptional skill set.
“He’s quick, skilful, and has a good football brain,” the South African football icon explains. “He scores goals, sometimes unbelievable ones.” Beyond his talent, Sono also praises Moletshe’s professionalism, discipline, and humble nature. Moletshe was part of Jomo Cosmos since his youth, progressing through the under-15 and under-17 teams.
Sono believes Moletshe is ready for the next step. “The Motsepe Foundation Championship is no longer the right platform for him,” he added. “In the NFD, it’s okay to be there for one season. But he needs a bigger platform now.”
The Mpumalanga-based team, Galaxy, is known for providing a platform where players can thrive. Moletshe hopes to make a significant impact in top-tier football should he sign with the club.
