Sekhukhune confirm Toaster Nsabata’s return

Betway Premiership outfit Sekhukhune United continues to be the busiest team in the transfer market, announcing the return of Zambian international Toaster Nsabata, as previously reported by FARPost.

Sekhukhune United, fresh off a fourth-place finish in the league last season, have been actively revamping their squad, unveiling several high-profile new signings in recent days.

Among the notable arrivals are Manuel Sapunga from Polokwane City FC, Bradley Grobler from SuperSport United, Ronaldo Maarman from Chippa United, Miguel Timm from Orlando Pirates, and Sphiwe Mahlangu from TS Galaxy.

On the other hand, the club has also confirmed the departures of players including Badra Ali Sangare, Lloyd Kazapua, and Lesedi Kapinga.

TOASTER NSABATA RETURNS TO BETWAY PREMIERSHIP CLUB FROM ZESCO UNITED

The club announced on Sunday that the 31-year-old has returned to the club. Nsabata spent two seasons at Sekhukhune between 2021 and 2023 before returning to Zambia.

During his first stint at Babina Noko, Nsabata made 36 appearances, with 14 clean sheets, and 29 goals conceded. He reportedly rejoins Sekhukhune on a two-year contract.

RETURNING SEKHUKHUNE UNITED GOALKEEPER SENDS GOODBYE MESSAGE TO ZAMBIA SIDE

The Zambian International goalkeeper recently posted his goodbyes on his Instagram platform to appreciate Zesco for the time spent at the club.

“It’s been an absolute honour to wear the Zesco badge and represent one of the respected clubs in Zambia and African Football,” he said.

It was also his second stint at the nine-time Zambian champions. He also had stints at Zanaco and Nchanga Rangers.

“Sekhukhune United FC confirms the signing of Toaster Nsabata from ZESCO UNITED,” Sekhukhune announced on Sunday. “Toaster returns to Babina Noko to add invaluable depth in goal. Welcome home, Toaster.”

Sekhukhune, who missed a CAF Confederation spot by just two points last campaign, have again shown their intentions to compete.

It was their second consecutive season that the club finished fourth in the premiership division.
