Sekhukhune United have announced two significant developments ahead of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season. Last season, Babina Noko wore gear from Kelme, and on Monday, the club revealed a three-year sponsorship deal with the renowned sports apparel brand.
The agreement, unveiled by club chairman Simon Malatji in the presence of a delegation from China that included Kelme’s chairman Ke Yongxiang, designates them as an official partner for the next three seasons.
Additionally, Malatji shared that the club has successfully acquired eight hectares of land in Midrand to support its ambitious plans to develop new training facilities and a football academy.
“The land has existing structures, which are quite huge and are undergoing renovations. Remember, we have a construction company. We have been in the last grade within the classification. And in that regard, we are utilising that one to reduce costs and renovate the building. But, the estimate suggests that we will be confined to competitiveness like Chiefs, is going to be around 30 million,” Malatji told journalists.

Babina Noko unveiled their new kits for the upcoming season, featuring a striking new look across their home, away, and third kits.

The home kit remains the traditional red, while the away kit is now green, and the third kit has been designed in blue. Vice-captain Daniel Cardoso praised the club’s management for their efforts.
“We haven’t had a proper sponsor for quite some time. We’ve worn Kappa and then Macron, and now we are with Kelme. We played in their gear last season, and I believe securing a full sponsor for this season and the next three years is a positive development for us. As you can see, the materials and quality are exceptional,” Cardoso told FARPost.
Linda Mntambo, the club’s captain, expressed optimism about the team’s direction, saying it was “good to see where the team is headed.”
“I think credit should also go to the players, the coaches that have been here and management and just everybody associated with the club. If you look at our league, you will see that very few teams are sponsored, besides your Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, and Mamelodi Sundowns. Other clubs are struggling financially,” Mntambo told FARPost.
“If you could get people coming on board to help ease off the pressure in terms of finances, because without a sponsor, without a partnership of this sort, then it means the club must use their own money to buy kits, to buy merchandise for us to travel. This is a significant development for us, and I believe it will attract more sponsors.”
He believes the club’s consistency—finishing fourth in the last two seasons—sets them apart. He attributes this consistency to the team’s collective hard work.
