The PSL has officially revealed the nominees for the 2024/25 season awards, setting the stage to recognise the standout performers and contributors from both the SA football top-flight and the second-tier league.
The nominees for the highly anticipated awards were announced on Tuesday, July 15, across all of the PSL’s social media platforms.
The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at 19:00, and will be broadcast live on the SuperSport PSL Channel and SABC Sport.
Lucas Ribeiro Costa from Mamelodi Sundowns, Keletso Makgalwa of Sekhukhune United, and Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng are the three nominees for the 2024/25 PSL Footballer of the Season award, the league’s biggest individual accolade.
These three stars also make up the top contenders for the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season award.
Meanwhile, in the Betway Premiership Coach of the Season category, Stellenbosch FC’s Steve Barker received a nomination alongside Sundowns mentor Miguel Cardoso and Pirates coach Jose Riveiro.
