Newly-promoted Betway Premiership side Orbit College is eyeing Milford FC attacker Menzi Chili, aiming to continue strengthening their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
The North West side ascended to the PSL’s top-flight after winning the league’s Promotion/Relegation Playoffs, with Cape Town City relegated to the Motsepe Foundation Championship.
The 33-year-old forward had an impressive campaign with ‘The Stallions’, fighting for promotion to the top-flight. However, they ended in sixth position in the standings with 43 points after 30 matches.
Last season, he came close to joining Golden Arrows; however, the anticipated transfer ultimately fell through, resulting in him remaining with Milford.
Should the move to Orbit happen, ‘Deco’, as he’s widely known, would realise a dream to ply his trade in the top-flight after years spent playing for clubs predominantly in the second and third divisions.

ORBIT TO STRENGTHEN THEIR TEAM MORE AFTER SALENG’S ARRIVAL
Meanwhile, Orbit have reinforced their squad with the signing of highly-rated winger Monnapule Saleng on loan from Orlando Pirates.
This move came after Saleng’s future at the club had been a persistent subject of speculation since the previous season. The talented Bafana Bafana player was notably dropped from both the starting line-up and match-day squads, fueling questions about his standing within the team.
He made a total of eight appearances across all competitions for the club in the last campaign. His last competitive match for the team was in the CAF Champions League in December 2024, against formidable opponents Al Ahly.
At Orbit College, Saleng is set for a reunion with his former coach, Pogiso Makhoye, who coached him at the very same club before the player’s move to the now-defunct Free State Stars.
The Premiership newcomers are close to signing Orlando Pirates duo of defender Yanga Madiba and midfielder Thuso Moleleki on loan to strengthen their team further.
