The PSL has announced the kickoff times and venues for the highly anticipated 2025 MTN8, which will mark the start of the 2025/26 season.
The MTN8, contested by teams that finished in the top eight of the Betway Premiership, will commence on the first weekend of August, with mouthwatering matches.
Orlando Pirates, the defending champions, will face off against Polokwane City FC at Orlando Stadium on Saturday, August 2. Kickoff is at 15h00.
The Buccaneers have been successful in this competition, having clinched it for three successive years under the then-head coach, Jose Riveiro.
In the previous campaign, Pirates defeated Stellenbosch FC 3-1 in the final to lift the trophy at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
Pirates will be looking to have a bright start in the MTN8 to increase their chances of winning the title for the fourth consecutive year under the leadership of new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou.
In another intriguing fixture on the same day, Sekhukhune United will face TS Galaxy at the New Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18h00.
MAMELODI SUNDOWNS WILL PLAY THE LAST FIXTURE OF THE WEEKEND

Sekhukhune finished fourth on the league table while Galaxy ended the season fifth on the standings. With the two clubs showcasing an entertaining brand of football over the past few years, the match promises to be an eye-catching showdown.
In fixtures scheduled for Sunday, 3rd August, Stellenbosch will welcome AmaZulu at the DHL Stadium, with a kickoff set for 15:00.
After reaching the final last season, Stellies will be aiming to go all the way and win the 8 million prize money. In the last fixture of the weekend, Mamelodi Sundowns will clash against Richards Bay FC at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
The match between Richards and the reigning league champions will kick off at 18h00. Sundowns are eying their first MTN8 success since winning the trophy in 2021.
