Where Siwelele FC will play their home fixtures

Siwelele FC

The fixtures for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership confirm the venue that newly acquired Siwelele FC will use. Siwelele recently purchased the top-flight status of SuperSport United.

While indications suggest that the club aims to revive the now-defunct Bloemfontein Celtic, nicknamed Siwelele by its followers, it appears that the club will not immediately relocate to the Free State.

The club, after adopting the SuperSport squad, has been training in Johannesburg with SuperSport CEO Stan Matthews still involved as they aim for a smooth transition. The club’s home fixtures for the entire season have been scheduled at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria. This is the same venue Matsatsantsa have used over the years whenever it was available.

WHO DO SIWELE FC PLAY IN THEIR OPENING FIVE MATCHES?

The ‘newcomers’ start the season with a match against Golden Arrows at home on Saturday, 9 August. They then travel to Orbit College three days later at the Olympia Park Stadium in Rustenburg.

Afterwards, they return to their home ground in Atteridgeville to face Polokwane City FC on 19 August. Siwelelele will then make a trip to the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit seven days later. Their fifth fixture of the season – on 29 August – is a home game against Richards Bay FC.

Meanwhile, the season begins with Chippa United hosting the reigning champions, Mamelodi Sundowns, at the Buffalo City Stadium.

On Saturday, August 9, AmaZulu and newly promoted Orbit College FC will start their campaigns simultaneously at Moses Mabhida Stadium. On the other hand, Polokwane City and Magesi will face off at Old Peter Mokaba Stadium, and Richards Bay will play against Marumo Gallants at uMhlanthuze Sports Complex.

Orlando Pirates are scheduled to host Sekhukhune United at Orlando Stadium at 17h30. TS Galaxy will kick off their campaign against Durban City FC, who gained promotion after winning the Motsepe Foundation Championship title. This match will be played at Mbombela Stadium starting at 15h00.

And the final match of the opening round is Stellenbosch up against Kaizer Chiefs at Athlone Stadium in Cape Town at 17h30 on Sunday, 10 August.
