Mamelodi Sundowns winger Kobamelo Kodisang is on his way out of the club, with a return to Europe on the cards.
The Bafana Bafana international has been with Sundowns for one season after joining the Tshwane giants at the start of the 2024/25 Betway Premiership season.
The highly-rated attacker sealed a move to the Brazilians in a high-profile transfer; however, he struggled to break into the starting line-up. Kodisang penned a long-term contract with Sundowns from Portuguese side Moreirense FC.
During his time with Moreirense, Kodisang showcased his abilities to take on defenders and score goals. His best season with the Portuguese outfit was during the 2022/23 season, when he scored 11 goals in 29 league matches.
In the 2023/24 season, the skilled attacker played a crucial role in helping Moreirense finish sixth on the league table in the Portuguese top-flight. He scored one goal and provided three assists in 31 appearances.
At Sundowns, Kodisang has featured in 13 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals, and also chipping in with two assists.
KOBAMELO KODISANG SET TO LEAVE SUNDOWNS ON LOAN

After his challenges to secure regular playing time, Kodisang missed out on the Sundowns squad that participated in the recently concluded 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.
With Kodisang seemingly not in the plans of Sundowns head coach Miguel Cardoso, FARPost has learnt that the former Bidvest Wits star will leave the league champions to explore options in Europe.
Kodisang is set to join an unnamed club in the Portugal top division for the 2025/26 season on loan. The Bafana Bafana international will follow players such as Lebogang Maboe, Rivaldo Coetzee, Sanele Tshabalala, Sipho Mbule, Thabang Sibanyoni, Lucas Suarez, and Sfiso Ngobeni out of the exit door at Sundowns.
Sundowns are likely to announce further adjustments to their squad as the start of the 2025/26 season approaches.
