Former AmaZulu FC midfielder Rowan Human is on the radar of the newly-promoted side Durban City FC, who are continuing to reinforce their squad for the next season.

Human parted ways with Usuthu at the end of the previous season, bringing to an end a two-season stint that began at the start of the 2023/24 campaign when he joined on a free transfer.

The 24-year-old departed AmaZulu despite having been one of the key players for the team last season under the leadership of Arthur Zwane.

In his stint with the KZN side, Human made 40 appearances across all competitions, scoring three goals and registering five assists in the process.

Having been linked with a couple of clubs including Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs, talented midfielder is now reportedly on the radar of newly-promoted Durban City. The KZN side is actively rebuilding its squad under the guidance of experienced coach Gavin Hunt.

As previously reported, the KZN club recently welcomed a couple of experienced players as they prepare for the 2025/26 season.

Three former Cape Town City players Hashim Domingo, Thabo Nodada and Darren Keet have been training with the club this past week.

They look set to join the club after parting ways with the Western Cape side when it was related to the second-tier after failing to win the PSL Promotion/Relegation Playoffs.

Moreover, two former SuperSport United players Thulani Hlatshwayo and Brooklyn Poggenpoel are also with the Durban-based outfit following the Matsatsantsa’s sale to Siwelele FC.

The above mentioned players were spotted during the club’s pre-season friendly match against Golden Arrows on Saturday. Gavin Hunt’s troops lost 2-1 at the hands of Manqoba Mngqithi’s side.
