Ex-Orlando Pirates and Sekhukhune United defender Edwin Gyimah has been trying his luck at Scottland FC in Zimbabwe, FARPost can reveal.
Gyimah has been unattached since July 2024, when he was released by Sekhukhune United FC. Since then, he has been club hunting and has recently trained with Marumo Gallants but nothing materialised.
The 34-year-old reportedly failed to impress the Marumo Gallants technical team during his assessment at the club.
Gyimah, is a well-travelled defender who played for SuperSport United, Orlando Pirates, Black Leopards and Sekhukhune. He also had a brief spell at Helsingborgs in the Swedish second tier league.

EDWIN YIMAH TRAINED WITH SCOTTLAND FC IN ZIMBABWE
FARPost can reveal that Gyimah has tried his luck at Scottland FC, a club that houses former Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns talisman Khama Billiat.
Former Pirates star Terrence Dzvukamanja is also part of the squad, having joined them three weeks ago. The club also has former PSL stars Ronald Pfumbidzai, Walter Musona and Talbert Shumba.
Moreover, Gyimah was seeking to impress the ambitious club, having played in several friendly matches. However, this publication understands the club has not decided to sign him, as they already have a bloated squad.
Coach Tonderai Ndiraya is always beset with a selection headache, having made wholesale signings in January. A close source at the club revealed that Gyimah has already returned to South Africa to continue his club hunting.
Scottland FC has already signed Malawian Khuda Muyaba, formerly with Polokwane City FC and Venda FC. They also signed Namibian star Moses Shidolo.
Meanwhile, Gyimah’s most recent club, Sekhukhune, released a bunch of players ahead of the 2025/26 season.
They parted ways with players that include Loydt Kazapula, Kamohelo Sithole, Miguel Antonio Dias and Sipho Mbule. Katlego Otladisa, Alves Ngakosso, and Lindokuhle Mtshali complete the list of the released players.
They signed experienced players such as Miguel Timm, Bradley Grobler, Sphiwe Mahlangu, Manuel Sapunga and Toaster Nsabata.
