Mamelodi Sundowns defender Rushine De Reuck is joining Tanzanian giants Simba SC, reuniting with coach Fadlu Davids.
De Reuck’s arrival is a direct replacement for Cameroonian defender Che Malone Fondoh, who recently joined Algerian side USM Alger.
Wekundu Wa Msimbazi are restructuring their defence ahead of Davids’ second season in charge. Their captain and left-back, Mohammed ‘Shabalala’ Hussein, has left upon contract expiry and is expected to join rivals Yanga SC.
The club has also parted ways with fellow centre-backs Hussein Kazi and Kelvin Kijiri. De Reuck and Sundowns agreed to mutually part ways, allowing him to join the Dar es Salaam giants on a free transfer.
According to iDiski Times, De Reuck, who previously worked with Davids at Maritzburg United, has signed a one-year deal.
FARPost can confirm that the 29-year-old is expected to arrive in Dar es Salaam on Sunday, as Simba SC resumes pre-season training.

SIMBA SC MOVE OFFERS DE REUCK A NEW LEASE OF LIFE
Simba reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup last season and are now aiming for success in the CAF Champions League. They finished second behind Yanga and are eager to end their rivals’ four-year dominance. For the South African international, this move offers a fresh start.
He spent the second half of last season on loan at Maccabi Petah Tikva after requesting to leave Sundowns in search of more playing time. He featured in four matches out of six between February and March.
During his four years with Masandawana, he made 79 appearances and scored two goals. Davids is well aware of his ball skills and will undoubtedly be an upgrade over Che Malone, thanks to his technical ability and experience.
He has been capped 17 times for the South Africa Senior National Team, Bafana Bafana. His stint with Sundowns saw him feature in the CAF Champions League.
