With the new Betway Premiership season on the horizon, Chippa United are eyeing former Sekhukhune United defender Lesego Sebetlela.
Chippa has been one of the busiest teams in the transfer market, beefing up the team to build a strong squad. The Chilli Boys have already acquired the services of three players from Orlando Pirates: Goodman Mosele, Azola Tshobeni, and Abdoulaye Mariko. They further bolstered the team with Khaya Mfecane, Bandile Dlamini, Sammy Seabi, and Justice Figuareido.
On the other hand, Chippa has released 18 players, including big-name players such as Justice Chabalala, Andile Jali, and Bienvenu Eva Nga.
United is making the drastic changes following the appointment of Sinethemba Badela as the new head coach. The former Mamelodi Sundowns DStv Diski Challenge coach took over the coaching position from Thabo September.
The Eastern Cape-based team has roped in former Kaizer Chiefs and Sekhukhune United scout Sinesipho Mali as their new sporting director.
LESEGO SEBETLELA HAS BEEN TRAINING WITH CHIPPA UNITED

Chippaโs changes came after the club finished in the bottom half of the league table and missed out on a top-eight finish.
With Chippa United aiming to put up an impressive showing in the upcoming season, they have shown interest in signing talented defender Lesego Sebetlela.
The 26-year-old centre-back spent the previous season in the Motsepe Foundation Championship with Casric Stars. He featured in 25 league appearances and scored two goals as Casric made it to the PSL promotional playoffs.
In the playoffs, Orbit College FC overpowered Cape Town City FC and Casric to gain promotion to South Africaโs top-flight.
FARPost has established that Sebetlela has been training with Chippa, and heโs currently in Gauteng, where theyโll play a few friendly matches before starting the new campaign.
