Veteran midfielder Keagan Dolly and striker Thabiso Kutumela have completed their assessments with the newly acquired Siwelele FC, with the club now making decisions regarding their futures.
Siwelele, who are building their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 Betway Premiership season, made prompt decisions on trialists as the kickoff date nears.
Dolly, who recently left TS Galaxy after a seven-month spell, and Kutumela, who has just departed Richards Bay FC, were undergoing trials as Siwelele finalised their roster.
The former Bafana Bafana midfielder Dolly, who joined Galaxy in November 2023, became a free agent after the club decided not to extend his contract for another year. Dolly appeared 20 times for the Mpumalanga side across all competitions, scoring three goals.
He joined Galaxy after a spell at Kaizer Chiefs, where his progress was hampered by injuries. Despite this, he still managed to make 67 appearances, contributing 14 goals and 11 assists.

On the other hand, Kutumela arrived at Richards Bay following a two-season stint with Mamelodi Sundowns, where the 32-year-old forward enjoyed considerable success, winning the treble. He had also been linked with a move to Chippa United.
At Richards last season, the experienced attacker made 11 appearances and managed to score one goal for the club.
NO ROOM FOR DOLLY, KUTUMELA AT SIWELELE FC
However, despite Dolly and Kutumela’s experience, Siwelele chose not to sign either player, citing an abundance of options in their respective positions. In the striker role, Siwelele currently have players like Samir Nurkovic, Thabang Mahlangu, and Nokutenda Mangezi.
For attacking midfield and wing positions, the squad includes Vincent Pule, Christian Saile, Thabang Makhubo, and Tendamudzimu Matodzi. Dolly and Kutumela have now stopped training with the team.
This decision follows the earlier release of other trialists, including Xola Mlambo and Kamohelo Mahlatsi. Kwanda Mngonyama, another player who was on trial, has since been called up to the CHAN squad.
