Just a few weeks after accepting a job at Cape Town Spurs, Roger De Sa has confirmed his surprise early exit at the club.
The Urban Warriors got relegated to the ABC Motsepe League after struggling for form in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Spurs had a dismal form in the second tier, which saw them finish 15th on the table with 30 points.
The Cape Town side won six matches, drew 12, and suffered 12 defeats under the guidance of Ernst Middendorp.
Following their relegation to the amateur ranks, Middendorp left Spurs and took over the new role as technical director of Durban City FC.
In a bid to assemble a strong technical team, CT Spurs appointed De Sa as its technical director. Before joining Spurs, the former Orlando Pirates coach spent the second round of the previous season with Cape Town City. He served as the assistant coach to Diogo Peral after Muhsin Ertugral was sacked.
ROGER DE SA ARRIVES IN OMAN TO TAKE OVER A NEW JOB

Despite making the coaching changes, the Citizens were relegated to the Motsepe Foundation after failing to save their PSL status in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
In a surprising move, the experienced coach has left Spurs without serving in his new role. De Sa has left the club to join the Oman national team.
The 60-year-old is expected to serve as the assistant coach to Carlos Queiroz at Oman. Speaking to FARPost, De Sa confirmed that he has already arrived in Oman to take up his new job.
โIโve already arrived at the Oman national team for the [FIFA] World Cup qualifiers. All is good,โ the coach told this publication.
Meanwhile, Spurs will be looking to move swiftly to appoint the new coach and push for promotion back to the second division.
