WHAT SHILENE BOOYSEN SAID ABOUT THE FIFA MENTORSHIP COACHING PROGRAMME

Booysen, who was the head coach of South Sudan’s Women’s National Football Team, mentioned that this is a significant opportunity for her to share her expertise and contribute to the sport.

โ€œIt is a huge opportunity for me to share. How can I give back to the game? How can I provide information to the next generation of coaches? I think this is a huge opportunity for me to be able to just mentor someone,” said Booysen.

“So, I have spoken about this before, where I have mentored lots of coaches. I am still mentoring a few coaches. But the point now is that I am doing it in an official capacity.

“It is going to be a huge opportunity to see what the viability is of mentoring more coaches. Whether it is on analysis or coaching, goalkeeping, or just the general game. This is the global stage that I have been on in order to give some of that experience to the next generation.โ€
