FARPost has established that Motsepe Foundation Championship Venda FC have roped in some new faces, including former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Chris Matombo.
Venda FC have been rebuilding their squad under newly appointed coach Clinton Larsen ahead of the new season. Larsen will be assisted by former SA Under-20 head coach Solly Luvhengo.
The club has also parted ways with a few players following the completion of the 2024/26 season. This includes Thabelo Tshikweta and Rudzani Thobo, who have joined Betway Premiership side Polokwane City FC.
Right-winger Onke Moletshe has also left the club and is reportedly moving to Premiership side TS Galaxy.
WHO ARE SOME OF THE NEW ARRIVALS AT MOTSEPE FOUNDATION CHAMPIONSHIP SIDE?

Chris Matombo was spotted during some of the friendly matches that the club participated in during the pre-season. The talented 32-year-old spent the past season at JDR Stars, who have now been sold to Leicesterford City FC.
Matombo won the league title with Kaizer Chiefs during the 2014/15 season before he went on to join Chippa United.
He also had a stint at Senglea Athletic [Malta] and Sekhukhune United. This is his second stint at Venda FC, having played for them during the 2021/22 season.

Another player that FARPost has spotted at the club is former Black Leopards and Chippa United right-back Tebogo Makobela. The 33-year-old spent the past two seasons at Lidoda Duvha
Former Royal AM centre-back Thato Lingwati was also spotted training with the ambitious side.
Venda FC are yet to officially unveil their new signings. They only confirmed the arrival of Clinton Larsen, who will also serve as the head of Academy at the club.
