Kaizer Chiefs have cut ties with midfielder Tebogo Potsane as the Soweto giants continue to reshape their squad for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
The right-winger joined the Glamour Boys in July 2023 from Royal AM, a club that has since been expelled from the PSL. The 31-year-old spent two seasons with Amakhosi.
Last season, Potsane’s playing time was significantly limited by injuries, allowing him to feature in only eight matches across all competitions. Overall, during his two years at the club, he played in 19 games and contributed two assists. Consequently, both parties mutually agreed to part ways.
The Nasreddine Nabi-coached side has also seen several other departures recently, including Mduduzi Mdantsane, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Ranga Chivaviro, and Bongani Sam. Additionally, Njabulo Blom has moved to Vietnamese V. League 1 side Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC.
In terms of new blood, Chiefs have been active in the transfer market, recruiting Nkanyiso Shinga, Thabiso Monyane, Paseka Mako, Ethan Chislett, Siphesihle Ndlovu, and Flavio Silva for the upcoming campaign.

KAIZER CHIEFS’ OFFICIAL STATEMENT ON TEBOGO POTSANE’S DEPARTURE
In a statement released by Chiefs on Tuesday, the club wished the ex-Blomfontein Celtic star Potsane all the best of luck in his endeavours as he leaves the side.
“As Kaizer Chiefs continue to prepare for the upcoming season, the Club and midfielder Tebogo Potsane have parted ways amicably,” said the Soweto giants.
“We thank him for his contributions and wish him all the best in the future.”
The player is now allowed to join any team he prefers after receiving his clearance from Amakhosi. However, it remains uncertain where the winger will go next, as the new season is fast approaching.
