TS Galaxy president Tim Sukazi has revealed what it would take for him to consider signing former Orlando Pirates striker Zakhele Lepasa.
Lepasa parted company with the Buccaneers last week and is currently a free agent, available to join any team interested in him.
This comes after a year on the sidelines, which he spent recovering from injury. The Bafana Bafana striker did not make any appearances for the Soweto giants last season.
Following the arrival of Yanela Mbuthuma at the Bucs, the club decided to let go of Lepasa. He has joined the South African national team for the upcoming African Nations Championship [CHAN].
The Bafana Bafana forward, who was part of Hugo Broosโs AFCON 2023 squad, featured in a friendly match on Tuesday against Angola. It ended 1-1 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
WHAT TIM SUKAZI SAID ABOUT ZAKHELE LEPASA REUNION AT TS GALAXY

Lepasa had a memorable stint with Galaxy during the 2018/19 season. The Bucs academy graduate fired the solitary goal that helped The Rockets lift the Nedbank Cup. They became the first lower division team to lift the cup title after edging Kaizer Chiefs 1-0.
โThe Lepasa chapter is closed, unless he decides he wants to come home,โ he told Ikwekwezi FM. โThe door is always open. I discovered him, and he has my number [to call me if heโs interested in joining TS Galaxy]. Iโm unsure of where his and his agentโs headspace is.
โIn situations like this, I canโt chase after him. If he wants to come home, he knows what to do. Sometimes it becomes easy for players whoโve played for Orlando Pirates to secure deals overseas. A lot of players are moving outside South Africa. Maybe heโs exploring his options.โ
Meanwhile, Galaxy has signed several new players, including 17-year-old Siyabonga Nguessan, experienced striker Sedwyn George, and Onke Moletshe from Venda FC.
They also added Anslin Williams from JDR Stars, central midfielder Matome Mmolai, and winger Mzwandile Dlamini. Veluyeke Zulu, a former AmaZulu defender, has also signed after training with the club for a while. The Mpumalanga side also welcomes Ntandoyenkosi Nkosi from Kaizer Chiefs and is close to signing Junior Zindonga from Marumo Gallants.
