The Premier Soccer League [PSL] has announced the official fixture schedule for the long-awaited 2025/26 Betway Premiership season.
As previously confirmed by FARPost, the season will commence with the MTN8 quarter-final matches this coming weekend, on Saturday, August 2nd, and Sunday, August 3rd.
The Betway Premiership campaign will follow a week later, with defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns starting their league campaign with an away encounter against Chippa United at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Gqeberha.
Last seasonโs runners-up, Orlando Pirates, will open their Premiership season with a home fixture against Sekhukhune United under new head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou. Their rivals Kaizer Chiefs will travel to Stellenbosch FC on Sunday, 10 August at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town.
DOMESTIC CUP FINAL DATES CONFIRMED AFTER OFFICIAL PSL FIXTURE SCHEDULE RELEASED
The MTN8 cup final will once again be the first domestic Cup final and will take place on Saturday, 13 September.
It will be followed by the Carling Knockout final, which will take place on Saturday, 6 December. It will also be followed by the Carling Cup exhibition match on Saturday, 13 December.

This yearโs Nedbank Cup final will take place on Saturday, 2 May, while the final fixtures of the Betway Premiership will be on Saturday, 23 May.
SOWETO DERBY TO BE STAGED AFTER THE 2025 AFCON BREAK
The season will go into a six-week break due to the Africa Cup of Nations tournament taking place in Morocco.
Unlike the previous two seasons, there will not be the December holiday fixtures.
The first Soweto Derby between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs will take place on Saturday, 28 February, while the second one will be on 25 April. This will be the first season without a Tshwane Derby following the sale of SuperSport United to Siwelele FC.
This yearโs PSL Promotional/Relegation Playoffs will kick-off on Tuesday, 26 May, with the final fixture on Saturday, 13 June.
