Former Kaizer Chiefs winger Tebogo Potsane might be on the verge of signing with a new club after parting ways with Amakhosi earlier this week.
Potsane’s departure comes as the Soweto giants continue restructuring their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
He became the eighth player to leave the Soweto giants during this transfer window. Ranga Chivaviro, Sabelo Radebe, Edmilson Dove, Mduduzi Mdantsane, Edson Castillo, and Bongani Sam were also released.
Yusuf Maart was sold to Austrian club RS Ried, while Njabulo Blom’s loan spell from MLS side St Louis City SC, which included an option for a permanent transfer, was not exercised. He has since completed a transfer to Vietnamese V.League 1 champions Thep Xanh Nam Dinh FC.
The speedy winger, Potsane, joined Amakhosi at the start of the 2023/24 season from Royal AM on a three-year deal. Potsane had one year remaining on his contract. However, due to limited game time last season, both parties mutually agreed to terminate his deal.
The 31-year-old attacker found himself out of favour, evidenced by his absence from the squad that travelled for the pre-season camp in the Netherlands. His stint at Naturena was hindered by injuries and a lack of game time, which ultimately led to his departure.

Since his arrival two seasons ago, Potsane made just 19 appearances across all competitions for the club, with only eight coming last season. He did not score a goal during his time at the club, contributing only two assists.
WHICH CLUB IS TEBOGO POTSANE LINKED WITH
Information reaching FARPost indicates that newly acquired Siwelele FC have approached the player to gauge his interest. Potsane is reportedly keen on the move, and discussions are currently ongoing between the two parties.
Whether the deal materialises depends on their agreement on a package. Prior to his transfer to Chiefs, the nomadic Potsane played for clubs including Mangaung United, Free State Stars, Bloemfontein Celtic and Royal AM.
